Training events are held throughout the state. Self-Determination for Texas focuses on helping people with disabilities and those who support them to realize more freedom and control in their lives.

Speakers on this topic, such as Ricky Broussard, James Meadours, Sarah Whitlock, and Norine Jaloway, are available for conferences and meetings. This project is a collaboration with the national Center for
Self-Determination and is funded by the Texas Council for Developmental
Disabilities.
